Curriculum

Mosaic Learning Center uses Procare Early Learning powered by Learning Beyond Paper curriculum in the ones, twos, and preschool classrooms.  We use Abeka is in the pre-kindergarten classroom.   First Look Weekday is our faith-based curriculum used in all classrooms. This faith-based curriculum provides resources and experiences that promote the alignment of the church and the home.

Procare

The ability to share information with parents about what’s happening in our center is essential. Procare software will be the engine that runs the day-to-day operations of Mosaic Learning Center.  The customer-facing side of Procare will provide parents an opportunity to enroll their child via an online form, check their child in, get updates on food, naps, reports, etc. on a parent application.  This app allows parents to make online payments from a checking or savings account, or a debit or credit card to our center.  It also gives parents a viewable list of transactions. Parents can see their child’s activities that are shared by the teachers. This lets families see what their children are doing and learn what’s happening in their day.

Payment

We at Mosaic Learning Center know that you are busy, and want to make keeping up with weekly payments as easy as possible. That is why we utilize Procare Software. Payments can be easily made through the Procare Parent app using multiple payment methods. We recommend using the ACH payment method to minimize fees incurred.

Payment is always due in advance with no deduction for any absences, holidays, or closures due to inclement weather, power outages, or other situations beyond our control. Payment is due weekly by 11 am on Monday (or the first day of care) as outlined in the Enrollment Agreement.

A non-refundable registration fee of $50/child is required upon enrollment, and is due annually on January 31st. This fee will not be pro-rated. This registration fee goes towards supplies for children’s artwork, as well as other supplies that we use to teach your child and document that learning!

Parent Communication

We want to partner with our parents in the education of our kids. That is why we use multiple communication methods to keep our parents as engaged as possible in the learning process.

  1. Weekly Communications. Weekly notes from center staff will keep you informed about your child’s activities and experiences at the center. Notes will be in the Procare app at the end of the week.

  2. Bulletin Boards. Located throughout the center, bulletin boards provide center news, upcoming events, faculty changes, holiday closing dates, announcements, etc.

  3. Newsletters. Weekly newsletters provide center news, events, announcements, etc. These newsletters will be delivered to your email and your Procare account.

  4. Email. We encourage you to provide an email address that you use regularly so that we may send you announcements, event invitations, newsletters and general updates.

  5. Family Night. Family nights are scheduled on a regular basis. These nights include snacks, drinks and fun filled age-appropriate activities for families. Family Nights allow families and children time to share, learn, and have fun. Families have an opportunity to be a part of their child’s learning experience and connect with other families.

  6. Conferences. Family and teacher conferences occur twice a year. During these conferences, we will discuss your child’s strengths, likes and dislikes, and styles of learning. We will work together to set goals for your child’s growth and development. You may request additional conferences regarding your child’s progress at any time. We encourage you to communicate any concerns.
